Dear DSBC Family,
I am saddened to see the COVID-19 virus continues to spread and more people around the world are being impacted by this unseen enemy. Yet, it reminds me of the even more dangerous unseen enemy who prowls about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Satan would love to use this calamity to weaken the faith of believers and keep those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior from ever coming to HIM by faith.
Therefore, we must fight the good fight and seek God even in the midst of the unknown! Social distancing has kept us from meeting together at the church but it will not stop us from being united by faith as the church. We will continue to post live this Sunday. Please join us and share with as many as you can...I encourage you to have "church" at home with your family. Go ahead and dress the part and do me a favor. Post a picture this Sunday of you and your family having church while we are live Sunday morning at 11:00 A.M. I would love to see you!
In the meantime, while the church building will remain closed this week and next, we will remain faithful and steadfast in faith. As the scripture says, "we walk by faith and not by sight".
One last Word of encouragement that you can repeat throughout the days ahead is found in Psalm 91:2 ~ I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
Love in Christ Always,
